JR East Nagano – Niigata Area Rail Pass provides five consecutive (5) days of unlimited travel on trains and Shinkansen in the area covered! This rail pass is recommended if you (1) want to go by Shinkansen to Niigata and experience its culture and history of sake, rice, fish, and other gastronomical things.; (2) want to travel around areas in Shinshu such as Nagano, Matsumoto, and Hakuba using Shinkansen and express trains; and (3) want to enjoy travelling to places in and around Tokyo, such as Shinjuku, Akihabara, and Kamakura.

Note that you can can use not only JR EAST lines but also other local railways such as TOKYO monorail, IZUKYU and some local railways and buses as well.

NOTE: JR East Rail Passes are issued in e-vouchers with QR code. Kindly print this voucher/s and present together with your passport on designated exchange locations.

Cancellation charge
• A 20% of cancellation charge will be calculated from THB Selling Price if cancel. 
• Kindly be aware that you can purchase and issue an exchange voucher for JR Pass only 90 days in advance of the first use date.  

Tax Invoice
• Please inform JTB Staff if you require Tax Invoice within 5-7 working days from the purchasing date.  

Change name spelling
• Allow changing name spelling for all JR Pass EXCEPT JR East Pass
• A surcharge of THB 500 per ticket per time will be collected from the customer, please contact JTB staff for more information.
• JR East Pass is not allowed to change name spelling. The customer requires to cancel with a 20% charge and then re-purchase the new ticket.  

Ticket lost 
• JTB cannot re-print any exchange voucher at all. The customer requires to re-purchasing the new ticket only.    

Refund for unused exchange voucher
• Customers can contact JTB Staff for refund payment within 1 year after issuing the date of an exchange voucher.
• 20% refund fee will be deducted from the selling price.
• Customers must bring an exchange voucher together with a receipt for the refund procedure.

  • Eligible for any foreign tourist with a non-Japanese passport.
  • Even if you are residing in Japan, you can use this pass too as long as you have a non-Japanese passport!
  • Japanese passport holders can NOT use this pass. (May require to present passport and documents for verification purpose)
  • ONLY allowed for original Exchange Orders which have not activated are allowed for refund within 12 months from the issuance date. Exchange order is totally non-refundable once exchanged and used.
    The refund process will take approximately 2 months or more to be completed.
