JR West-Kyushu - Sanyo-San'in Northern Kyushu Area Pass 7 Days

• Eligible for foreign tourist entering in Japan as a "Temporay Visitor" for sight-seeing, and has a passport(issued by a foreign government) stamped with status under “Temporary Visitor”.
• Please note that according to strict interpretation of the Japanese Immigration Law, “Temporary visitor” status differs even from other types of stays that are also for only short time periods.
• Japanese passport holders can NOT use this pass. (May require to present passport and documents for verification purpose)
• ONLY allowed for original Exchange Orders which have not activated are allowed for refund within 12 months from the issuance date. Exchange order is totally non-refundable once exchanged and used.
  The refund process will take approximately 2 months or more to be completed.

To exchange date of the pass, once the pass has been obtained, can no longer be changed.

- Kokura Station : Daily, Hours: 5:30AM - 11:00PM

The pass is valid for :

Unlimited Travel on:
• Shinkansen (bullet trains): Sanyo Shinkansen (Shin-Osaka to Hakata) and Kyushu Shinkansen (Hakata to Kumamoto, only on Sakura and Tsubame trains).
• Limited Express, Rapid, and Local JR Trains: Within the designated regions (Chugoku, Northern Kyushu, and parts of Kansai).
• JR Bus Lines: Only on designated JR buses within the pass area.

Validity Period:
• The pass is valid for 7 consecutive days from the first day of use.

The pass is NOT valid for:
• No travel on Mizuho and Nozomi Shinkansen trains.
• Travel outside the designated area requires an additional ticket.

• Seat Reservations
- You can reserve seats on Shinkansen and Limited Express Trains without additional charges by using this pass.
- Seat reservations are recommended for popular routes, peak travel times, and busy seasons (e.g., Golden Week, Obon, New Year).

• How to Book Seats
- JR Ticket Offices: Visit the Midori no
adoguchi or JR Travel Centers at major JR Stations. Show your rail pass and request your preferred route, date, and time.
- Ticket Machines: Use automated machines. Insert your pass, select your destination, and comfirm your seat.
- Online Booking (Before Arrival): Use the JR West Online Train Reservation System or JR Kyushu Train Reservation System to reserve seats in advance (limited availability for pass users).

• Non-Reserved Seating
- You can also use non-reserved seats on eligible trains without prior booking. Simply board the train and sit in any open seat in the non-reserved carriages.

• Green Car and Special Trains
If you wish to use Green Cars (first class) or special sightseeing trains, you’ll need to pay an additional fee when booking.

• Unavailable seats due to full occupancy shall not be subject to refunds.
• It is a personal pass. Make sure to bring your passport when using the Pass as station and train staff may check it.
• The starting date of the rail pass and the duration cannot be changed after purchasing.

• Adult / Child rail pass holder can accompany up to 2 infants (1-5 years old) for free.
• The infants from the third one will require Child's rail passes for each.
• Babies aged under 1 year old can be accompanied for free.
• Child's rail passes will be required for each infant in the following situations:
  *When accompanied infants use Reserved seats by themselves
  *When infants travel by themselves
