Universal Studios Japan launched its Halloween event in 2002 and has been evolving the quality and scale of the event every year since the first Halloween Horror Night in 2011, creating an overwhelming world view and continuing to produce innovative entertainment. Zombie de Dance”, first held in 2018, where large numbers of zombies dance wildly, has become a social phenomenon thanks to collaborations with popular artists, offering a new way to enjoy Halloween events in Japan. In addition, we have been providing a completely new category of entertainment that makes people scream and go wild during the fall season in Japan for over 10 years, and it continues to be very popular every year.
This fall, the Park will amplify the level of fear at HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS even further, delivering an unforgettable, Super Thrilling experience on a scale unlike ever before. Get ready for Halloween Event 2025, which will take Japanese Halloween to the next level with “ultimate screams.”
Dive into the ultimate horror experience. The “Night of Despair” begins “HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS” [Friday September 5th to Monday November 3rd, 2025]
As the sun sets, hordes of zombies roam the Park and attack guests, creating a sense of utter terror with nowhere to run. “Halloween Horror Nights” began as a seasonal event in the fall of 2011 and has since become a hallmark event of Halloween. This year, the Park is expanding the scale of the event even further and will be offering a number of “extreme scream” attractions on an unprecedented scale.
This year's Street Zombies will feature even more ferocious zombies than last year, rampaging through the Park and filling the streets with screams. Zombie de Dance, where zombies and guests dance wildly to passionate music, has announced a collaboration with a new artist. *Details to be announced at later date.
There will also be many popular seasonal horror attractions. The new “Factory of Fear: Zombie Tour” is a closed-room horror maze where you run away from zombies in a terrifying zombie factory. The “Prison Zombies” that appear with the deafening sound of chainsaws and the “Cyber Zombies” with fingers shaped like syringes and gears that glow in the dark are just some of the Park's zombies which have terrified countless guests every year and this attraction will finally reveal how they were created, why they continue to attack guests, and the reason behind their ongoing evolution in this terrifying factory tour. As you make your way through the horrific facility, you'll be relentlessly attacked by grotesque zombies searching for prey, and you'll have to fight your way out of an extreme situation in this intense horror experience with nowhere to run.
Also, the live horror attraction “Resident Evil™: Night of Heroes”, which was a huge hit last year, will be held in both Japanese and English versions this year. Last year's hugely popular collaboration with the hit anime series 'Chainsaw Man' brought us the 4D attraction “Chainsaw Man: The Chaos 4-D”, and the exhilarating, ultra-thrilling ride attraction “Chainsaw Man × Hollywood Dream - The Ride: KICK BACK: Katana vs. Chainsaw”, and the backward-facing thrill coaster “Chainsaw Man × Hollywood Dream - The Ride: KICK BACK” are returning to the Park this fall. This year, the original character “The Demon of Halloween Horror Night” from “Chainsaw Man: The Chaos 4-D” will leap out of the attraction and appear in real life on the streets in the new “Smiley’s Happy Halloween Greeting”.

First-ever collaboration with global make up brand, “KATE”! New makeup experience to “release your emotions” is coming to Universal Studios Japan!
During Halloween Horror Nights (September 5th to November 3rd), a new attraction, “KATE PRESENTS Witches of Block 18: Bewitching Mansion of Emotion” will make its debut at the Park, offering a new kind of makeup experience that invites you to “release your emotions”
This is the first time in the Park's history that an attraction has been co-created with a makeup brand.
Tucked away from the main street stands a mysterious mansion where the “Witch of Number 18” resides and controls the emotions of joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. Guests who step inside are guided by the witch's servant to a mirrored room where four witches lurk. Guests are guided by the witch's voice coming from the mirror to bring out their hidden emotions and expressions and are then prescribed a prescription (makeup recipe) to help them release their emotions.
With the guidance of a witch, awaken your emotions through makeup, discover a side of yourself you've never seen before, and dive into the “extreme scream” experience of Halloween Horror Nights, letting go of everything and following your instincts.

The daytime “HAHAHA! HALLOWEEN PARTY” will feature a completely revamped Halloween party with DJ Pikachu and DJ Genger, who were a huge hit last year, and a new event, “Pokémon Unstoppable Halloween Party” will makes its debut. The music will once again be produced by “DECO*27”, blending rock and dance genres into a flashy soundtrack with ghost type Pokémon engaging in dance battles with guests. The ending changes depending on the outcome of the battle, making it a party where everyone can dance and go wild.
There will also be a greeting with Illumination’s Minions dressed in fun costumes, a dance show with Halloween-costumed Park characters at Universal Wonderland, and other events that will bring smiles to the faces of children and adults alike during this daytime Halloween celebration.
The popular attraction “Jurassic Park - The Ride” is making its debut as “Jurassic Park - The Ride in the Dark”, a terrifying boat tour that plunges you into complete darkness! And in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, “Death Eaters™” suddenly appear in Hogsmeade Village in “Death Eaters™ Takeover” and “Hogwarts Castle Walk™” will be held in time for “Back to Hogwarts” which is celebrated by Harry Potter fans across the globe on September 1st of every year, where you can take a special route to explore the intricate details of Hogwarts Castle. Enjoy an even more exciting Halloween with these seasonal events.
